I just completed a mural for a stage located at Hawaii Daijingu in Nuʻuanu. Artist Kalani Holland served as my main assistant. Akihiro Okada Sensei, Reverend of the Shinto Shrine that commissioned the work did the golden prep work and some foliage.
The stage is used for cultural performances during festivals held at the shrine. The image is based on the backdrop used in Japanese noh plays.
